Michael Smith

With more than 30 years of coaching experience, Michael has witnessed firsthand the profound influence that coaches and athletics can have on the lives of young people. That passion led him to serve as the Hartford County Area Representative for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where he is committed to leading coaches and athletes into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.

Throughout his coaching career, the collegiate teams he led earned both regional and nationally ranked success, reflecting his commitment to excellence both on and off the field. Michael and his wife, Christine, are proud to be part of a military family. Their sons, Caiden and Landon, both served as Infantrymen in the United States Army, reinforcing the family's deep appreciation for leadership, service, sacrifice, and teamwork.

Michael and Christine are active members of Vox Church, where their faith continues to shape their lives and ministry. Michael believes the athletic arena is one of today's greatest mission fields—a place where authentic relationships are built, leaders are developed, and lives are transformed through the hope of the Gospel. Together, Michael and Christine are excited to partner with coaches, athletes, churches, and communities throughout Hartford County as God continues to expand the impact of FCA.
